can we do/act gender? or is gender done for us?

if gender are norms that make us and prevent us from being, what are we?  just a process, un uncomfortable one of trying and fighting with ourselves, norms and the others?

are we really something be-ing, literally continually constructing itself, changing and impossible of being grabbed, fixed, identified?

that may explain why i had just the opposite opinion regarding to these kind of theories just about 5 months ago. It may also have some relation to fear. We, humans, will be always afraid of uncertainity, especially if it portrays ourselves as the biggest and endlees uncertainity ever.

I think, just for the appeal of its risk, we have to give the possibility a chance. What we have, what we know, we know is not working. Lets dare to try.
